NetSuite Solutions Architect

The NetSuite Developer will design solutions for NetSuite environment(s). The developer is responsible for identification and qualification of appropriate solutions based on business requirements and constraints, has deep subject matter expertise, and can evaluate both existing and new technologies for fit in the current corporate application architecture. 

Primary Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of organizational business plans and processes, with an emphasis in Finance and Sales. 
  • Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to systems analysts, developers, administrators, and other solution architects as needed. 
  • Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company’s existing solution architecture, and technology portfolio. 
  • Develop, document, communicate and enforce a NetSuite solution architecture, including Out-of-box (OOB and customizations applied within the environment).
  • Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for NetSuite roadmap, including analysis of efficiency and effectiveness improvement opportunities. 
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the current implementation of end-to-end integrated systems and how data flows through the application architecture, including Salesforce, NetSuite, and additional ancillary solutions. 
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate NetSuite stability, and any additional impacted portions of the application architecture. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement. 
  • Review and approve TDDs as part of the production release process for any new or updated functionality. 
  • Perform code reviews and approvals as necessary for any new or updated functionality.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent understanding of application architectures, with a focus on CRM, ERP, Integration tools. 
  • Solid grounding in core enterprise applications, specifically NetSuite and Zone Advanced Billing.  Additional experience with Salesforce and Jitterbit highly valued. 
  • Understanding of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and Microsoft SQL Server. 
  • Knowledge of integration platforms utilizing REST and SOAP, with particular weight given to experience with tools like Jitterbit Harmony or Celigo. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Revenue Recognition, Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), Order-to-Cash, General Ledger, Billing/Accounts Receivable, Tax, Pricing & Sales, SuiteBilling, and Products & Work Orders. 
  • Experience building and analyzing Financial Statements and reports. 
  • Expert knowledge of programming languages including JavaScript and the NetSuite API, with expertise in the majority of the full SuiteCloud: SuiteScript, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, SuiteBundler, and SuiteBuilder. 
  • Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices. 
  • Proven project planning and management experience. 
  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, information technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in architecting, implementing, and supporting NetSuite functional solutions
  • NetSuite Admin certification desired
