ACCOUNT OVERVIEW
OpenMind was recently awarded the ZEUR assignment for Nestle Europe. With 47 countries, +450 team members, and regular new product launches, the account is looking for a European Account Manager to provide Comms Planning and Account Management for Nespresso.
 
OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
A coffee lover at heart, the European Account Manager will be joining a team dedicated to the delivery of media transformation for Nespresso across European markets. This candidate is an experienced media planning expert, responsible for developing strong relationships with the Nespresso Global Team, providing excellent project management skills and has the knowledge/skills to push innovative thinking as well as best in class planning. You will be working closely in support of the Business Director and Brand Media Strategy Lead. Focusing on market governance; working with the in-market leads, keeping a market status, to better understand the briefs and budgets they are getting locally and working to embed the above market strategy. Working to ensure that global initiatives are scaled to markets and guidelines are adhered to by teams. Also, the delivery of investment reports as and when necessary.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Built strong relationships with teams and clients
  • Work closely with the Business Director /Strategy Director to develop the strategic responses and to manage the day to day activities
  • Mastering OpenMind’s above market planning tools such as Audience Origin, BAV, Redmill (Nestlé reporting tool) and Architect
  • Gain trust of all internal & external stakeholders
  • Lead elements of responses to brief
  • Positively contribute to the quality of planning output
  • Support the development of exceptional, award-winning planning work
  • Be a go-to source of energy and insight in the team
  • Coordinate campaign best practice with the market leads
  • Deliver budget reports for the ZEUR markets using RedMill
  • Challenge the ordinary and help our team produce great work
  • Work closely with the Business Director to review ways of working processes 
  • Help manage the quality of the work that is taken to the client and ensuring all reporting and finance processes and timings are adhered to.
  • Become the trusted point person of your client peer level.
  • Contribute to OpenMind culture in the team – great planners with clear goals, objectives, and development plans.
 
YOUR KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
  • A thirst for learning about technology, trends, media, people, brands and the industry
  • An ambition and tenacity to make the ordinary extraordinary 
  • Data-literacy – aware of the available resources and how to turn data into insights that shape clear strategic opportunities
  • Knowledge of the nuts and bolts of media well enough to be able to develop a top-line media plan 
  • Attention to detail
  • Good storytelling skills – to give our ideas and thinking the best chance of coming to fruition
  • Team management skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and manage workload
  • Calm under pressure
  • Digital platform planning/buying experience preferred
