We are currently recruiting an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join us on a fixed term contract until May 2025. You will be responsible for delivering a high quality housing management service and making a real difference to our customers and the communities that they live in.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the provision of high-quality governance, legal, risk and assurance services to the business which enable it to meet the requirements for statutory and regulatory compliance
- To deliver a high-quality housing management service that helps customers to live well and enjoy their home and neighbourhood responsibly by offering support and ensuring that Incommunities duties as a landlord are fulfilled.
- Responsibility for co-ordinating a full range of housing services, to ensure that our neighbourhoods are clean, safe, pleasant places where people want to live. To increase the sustainment and reduce the turnover of tenancies within your management, and to contribute fully towards maximising occupancy rates and income collection in our stock.
- To develop and sustain constructive relationships with individuals and representatives who are working to improve the quality of life in their communities, work with others in the organisation to develop and empower community groups, including assisting with bids for external funding.
About you
- Have experience of dealing with members of the public both face to face and over the telephone, in particular, handling people who may be distressed and anxious and/ or reluctant to accept or follow advice.
- Are committed to continuous professional development within timescales to be agreed with line manager, for example CIH Level 3.
- Have excellent organisation skills and are able to prioritise your workload.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
Requirements
- Must have experience of general needs housing management and understanding of housing and estate management standards and practices, including ASB, lettings, exchanges, repairs, rents
- Good understanding of housing legislation combined with the ability to give advice to those who require it
- Must have a flexible approach to work and able to manage your own time
- Able to interpret and apply legislation and Incommunities procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Driving licence and own vehicle (highly desirable as you will be expected to travel across Bradford)
