SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
NDE - SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT
SpaceX demands a new type of approach to the traditional NDE Auditor – Trainer role. We require our suppliers to provide premium quality with rapidly evolving designs at increasingly ambitious volumes. We are actively looking for candidates who have unrelenting motivation to enable suppliers to succeed and are driven by the fundamental belief that education and knowledge are power. In this role, you will be challenged to combine that belief, with strong senses of urgency, creativity, resourcefulness and a desire to explore opportunities for hands-on application. The ideal candidate brings applicable industry experience to the table and will be armed with strong communication skills and an innovative problem-solving ability.
To be successful, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to roll up your sleeves and step into chaotic situations, using deep technical and practical knowledge of quality processes and standards, as they pertain to NDE, to understand the current state and most optimal path forward. Engage in, and when necessary, lead NDE vendor development, ensuring the supplier base is being positioned to support the increasing needs across all SpaceX programs (Falcon, Dragon, Starship, Starlink, Ground Support Equipment). The capability to project-manage and drive accountability within cross functional teams, succinctly communicate status and needed action, often urgently, to all levels of the organization. The ability to analyze for and identify suboptimal supplier and internal system process gaps and drive improvement through formal and informal supplier evaluations, corrective actions, and process reviews utilizing data driven decisions. Ability to engage counterparts across the organization and develop/build trust to effectively execute large scale initiatives.
