Requirement: Technician Services for Communications Operations and Maintenance in Logistics Section

Location: Bydgoszcz, PL

Occasional business travel may be required. Travel expenses to be reimbursed to the individual directly (in addition to the hourly rate) under NATO rules.

Period of Performance: 2025 BASE - from 01/01/2025 to 31/12/2025 – maximum 2000 working hours with the possibility to exercise following option:

2026 Option - from 01/01/2026 to 31/12/2026 – maximum 2000 working hours

Required Security Clearance: NATO SECRET

1. Introduction

This Statement of Work (SOW) describes the requirement for a Contractor in the NATO CIS Group 3 NATO Signal Battalion Headquarters, S4 Section as a technician (Comms Operation & maintenance). The incumbent is responsible for all Deployed Communication and Information System (DCIS) maintenance planning in support of deployed operation.

2. Scope of Services

  • Plans Deployable Communication and Information System (DCIS) maintenance within the area of responsibility with emphasis on future NATO Signal Battalion operations.
  • Coordinates the Logistic strategic focus performed by Logistic support Section, and plans Section area of responsibility within operational focus in order to accomplish the NATO Signal Battalions' current and future tasks.
  • Coordinates the management of CIS Static equipment of the NSB.
  • Assesses the maintenance of NATO Signal Battalion equipment.
  • Co-ordinates logistics functions in accordance with ACO and Battalion Directives.
  • In the provision of the required services the contractor will be requested to drive the vehicle, up to 3,5 tones, with passengers, load for long distances.

3. Background, Work Site Information and Environment, Travel

NCISG 3 NSB HQ is located in Bydgoszcz, Poland and co-located with Polish Military Unit in a typical Secure Facility. The work will be conducted mostly at this location and will be performed mostly in a Normal NATO office working environment. Normal Working Conditions apply.

The services may be required to be performed in other NATO military and or exercise sites.

Requirements

  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance

4. Language

  • English: Listening, speaking, reading and writing shall be at a NATO level of English 3322

The work both oral and written in the post and in the Headquarter as a whole is conducted mainly in English.

5. Knowledge & Qualifications

a. Essential Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of management and maintenance of CIS equipment and integrated logistic support.
  • Experience with GIS-related logistic strategic focus.

b. Education

  • Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 3 years post related experience.

c. Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in NATO working environment or other international organizations.
  • 2 years' experience in management and maintenance of DCIS equipment.
  • NOSS experience.
  • ITSM knowledge.
  • Driving license B.

6. Quality Assurance

A formal monthly meeting between the individual and the supervisor/alternative will be scheduled in order to evaluate performance
