Requirement: Technician Services for Satellite Communications in Maintenance and Support Company
Location: Bydgoszcz, PL

Period of Performance: 2025 BASE - from 01/01/2025 to 31/12/2025 – maximum 2000 working hours with the possibility to exercise following option:
2026 Option - from 01/01/2026 to 31/12/2026 – maximum 2000 working hours

1. Introduction
This Statement of Work (SOW) describes the requirement for a Contractor in the NATO CIS Group 3 NATO Signal Battalion Headquarters, Maintenance and Support Coy, SATCOM Section, as a SATCOM technician. He is requested to operate and to maintain SATCOM, radio and/or LOS systems.
2. Scope of Services
- Manages, maintains, and repairs satellite terminals
- Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing faults, resolving issues, installing and configuring satellite equipment, requesting for satellite access.
- Conducts satellite equipment care inspections (preventive and corrective maintenance).
- Works at one of a number of locations - ready for business travels.
- Supports the units (satellite military operators) at deployed locations - via phone, emails, and dedicated applications like ITSM or directly in person.
- Operate power generators (from 2KW to 25KW) and other ancillary equipment.
- Configures and maintains various military tactical communication equipment like HF, TACSAT and DLOS
- Operates additional equipment and performs other duties if this is necessary to support the troops - it may involve setting up tents, office modules, setting up security perimeters, doing site surveys and other mission essential tasks given to the company (MS COY) and the team (SATCOM).
- May be assigned with equipment (from small electronic devices and tools to vehicles with or without communication equipment and satellite systems).
- May have to perform level 1 maintenance on motor vehicle (passenger cars or light trucks).
- This post will be required to deploy and take part in all technical events, units' evaluations, exercises (also NRF exercises) and operations but will not be assigned to NRF teams and NRF shifts.
- In the provision of the required services the contractor will be requested to drive the vehicle, more than 3,5 tones, with passengers, load for short distances.
3. Background, Work Site Information and Environment, Travel
NCISG 3 NSB HQ is located in Bydgoszcz, Poland and co-located with Polish Military Unit in a typical Secure Facility. The work will be conducted mostly at this location and will be performed mostly in a Normal NATO office working environment. Normal Working Conditions apply.
The services may be required to be performed in other NATO military and or exercise sites.

Requirements
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
4. Language
- English: Listening, speaking, reading and writing shall be at a NATO level of English 2222
The work both oral and written in the post and in the Headquarter as a whole is conducted mainly in English.
5. Knowledge & Qualifications
- The installation, operation, maintenance (IO&M) and technical support of deployable satellite equipment.
6. Essential Qualifications
- 2 years' experience operating SATCOM, LOS or radio systems.
7. Education
- Secondary education and basic training in the SATCOM, LOS or radio systems domain.
8. Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in NATO working environment or other international military organizations. Communication and information system qualification with previous experience in a signal unit operations staff.
- Knowledge of European military and civilian telecommunications.
- Networking experience.
- C+E driving license.
9. Quality Assurance
A formal monthly meeting between the individual and the supervisor/alternative will be scheduled in order to evaluate performance
