National Sales Manager (Hungary)

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, action plans and sales forecasts for the Hungarian market.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and potential areas for growth.
  • Set sales targets and closely monitor the performance of the sales team.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Country Manager and the Commercial Operations Manager to ensure high Commercial Excellence and suggest/implement changes for improvement if needed.
  • Develop tailored call cycle plan and S&T segmentation of HCPs.
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders, pharmacy and optic chains and other stakeholders in the ophthalmic field.
  • Additionally to the prescription ophthalmic portfolio provide support to the OTC business as well to ensure continued growth and dominant market position.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and distribution channels to expand the company's market presence and reach.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns and product launches.
  • Coordinate sales activities with marketing initiatives to ensure consistent message delivery.
  • Manage the sales budget effectively to optimize resource allocation and achieve desired sales outcomes.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or in a related field.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in pharmaceutical sales.
  • Previous ophthalmic market experience would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in sales management (at least 2 years), including leading and motivating sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially in using Excel for data analysis, and in CRM software.
  • Fluency in English and local language.
