National Sales Manager AT/CH

  • Set and oversee performance targets for AT/CH countries.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage the AT/CH sales team's performance. Manage induction, and training of new staff, including preparation and updating of training materials, and oversee professional development for both self and staff.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and competition in AT/CH.
  • Collaborate closely with SD DACH, Marketing, SFE, and Medical for sales programs.
  • Propose optimizations for customer management, prices, and discounts.
  • Lead, motivate, and control subordinate sales representatives to achieve sales targets while ensuring compliance with cost budgets and monitoring market situations.
  • Expand and maintain contacts with special target groups (e.g., KOLs) through regular personal support to meet or exceed targets, while selectively addressing unoccupied areas.
  • Facilitate communication between sales force and management, monitor market situation, contribute to project groups, and organize regional meetings.
  • Support subordinate field staff in medical training events, participate in events and congresses, and ensure adherence to GDP and compliance guidelines. 
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in pharmaceutical sales.
  • Understanding of the AT/CH ophthalmic pharmaceutical markets including categorization of target customers, proven knowledge of competition and trends.
  • Previous experience in sales management, including leading and motivating sales teams would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially in using Excel for data analysis, and in CRM software.
  • Good knowledge of the German, English and French
