House Majority PAC is an organization designed to hold Republicans accountable and help elect more House Democrats. House Majority PAC is committed to building a long-term organization that can take on the Republican outside groups in the battle for the House Majority.
Primary Purpose: National Press Secretary will develop relationships with national and local media in targeted congressional districts and will work to write press releases and statements, pitch stories, and work with researchers to develop an aggressive rapid response operation. Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as on-the-record spokesperson and media contact for HMP across the House battlefield
Draft press releases, statements, and opposition research pitches
Develop relationships with national and local media in targeted congressional districts
Collaborate with HMP research team on rapid response opportunities
Work with partners on booking opportunities
Craft content for social media channels
Coordinate with full communications team to advance HMP’s goals
Qualifications:
Demonstrated commitment to promoting Democratic values and causes
2-3 cycles of campaign, official, or advocacy communications experience
On-the-record experience
Strong work ethic and ability to take ownership of wide-ranging responsibilities; ability to work independently and proactively
Strong writing skills and stellar proofreading
Relationships with key political reporters
Ability to respond quickly and effectively to press needs
Comfortable working in collaborative, team environment
Grace under pressure

LOCATION: Washington, DC
START DATE: January-February 2025
TRAVEL: Some travel required
SALARY: Starting at $85,000 annualized, commensurate with experience
This is a temporary [cycle-based], at will position with an anticipated end date of no later than December 15, 2026
