About the Position
The National Channel Account Manager reports to the Director of Sales - National Accounts and is responsible for building and maintaining a business plan to generate revenue through CDW.
The NCAM will be responsible for: pipeline creation, training, pipeline management, and the forecasting of their assigned partners.
Success in this position will be measured by: exceeding key metrics, sales conversions, and account growth with CDW. The NCAM will keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry and the competitive posture of the company, as well as prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
A Day in the Life
The NCAM is the ultimate evangelist for WatchGuard products within our defined National Resellers. A typical day might start with virtual or in person trainings, followed by a check of email to see what CDW sellers need assistance. Throughout the day it’s common that we have discovery and demo calls with end users and CDW sellers to create recommended solutions. Creating CRM records, and building a workable pipeline is the culmination of all the NCAMs actives and will ultimately feed the quota attainment. There are many activities that go into the day of an NCAM, but ultimately self-motivation, and time management drive to success!
30/60/90 Plan
- 30 Days: Basic introductions to key WatchGuard personnel, get acquainted with WatchGuard’s CRM, basic product knowledge
- 60 Days: Take over direct requests from CDW sellers, start setting introductory meetings with CDW personnel
- 90 Days: Formulate plans to further drive awareness of WatchGuard at CDW. Work with WatchGuard’s field teams to prospect accounts
Position Responsibilities
- Strive towards the quota attainment and growth/development of CDW
- Assist CDW’s Sales Teams with product information, opportunity management, and customer calls
- Support partners efforts of selling WatchGuard including training, event support, and lead generation
- Create and perform sales presentations to match WatchGuard with audience needs
- Assist with management of National Partner pipeline of sales opportunities
- Conduct user discovery calls and follow up
- Be knowledgeable of all WatchGuard products, services, and internal sales tools
- Other duties and projects assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with two-tier/channel sales ecosystem
- Experience in network/cyber security space preferred
- History of sales excellence with National Partner accounts and major accounts preferred
- History of consistent plan development and quota achievement
- Strong presentation and written skills
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM
Experience
- Proven multiple years’ experience in direct and indirect sales in related industry
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in business, sales, or marketing
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $125,000, exclusive of benefits. This position is also eligible for commissions up to 40% of on target earnings. Your base salary compensation will be based on your individual skills, education, and experience. Please keep in mind that the above range is the full base salary range for this role; hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical in order to allow for future salary growth.
