The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Account Manager to lead, manage, and grow our key national retail accounts. This individual will be responsible for building strong customer & broker relationships, developing and executing sales strategies, and working cross-functionally to ensure alignment with our Eat Meati™ brand vision. Additionally, this role will play a crucial part in creating and implementing marketing and promotional planning at the customer level to drive product visibility and growth.
Responsibilities:

Account Management:

- Manage and grow relationships with national retail accounts, ensuring achievement of sales targets and business objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, fostering collaborative partnerships to drive mutual success.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share within assigned accounts.
- Build and foster strong relationships with Broker partners.

Marketing and Promotional Planning:

- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute customer-specific marketing, promotional, and merchandising programs.
- Ensure that customer-level promotional plans are aligned with brand goals and are optimized to increase product visibility, shelf space, and consumer engagement.
- Analyze the effectiveness of promotions and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

- Prepare and maintain accurate sales forecasts, providing insights into customer performance, trends, and potential risks or opportunities.
- Monitor market conditions, competitive activities, and consumer trends to proactively identify growth opportunities and challenges.
- Present sales reports and account performance updates to senior leadership.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on customer needs, promotional execution, and product availability.
- Partner with product development teams to provide feedback from customers and inform new product innovations.

Customer Experience and Engagement:

- Act as a brand ambassador, delivering exceptional service and value to our retail partners.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers, providing insights on category performance, opportunities for growth, and aligning on future strategies.
- National-HQ Grocer experience preferred. (Kroger, Albertsons, Publix, etc.)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience in a CPG environment, with a proven track record of managing national accounts (grocery, mass, or specialty retail preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business Management or Marketing preferred).
- Plant-Based and/or Natural, Better for You industry experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of promotional planning & trade marketing at the customer level.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and build lasting relationships.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset; experience with sales forecasting, data analysis, and performance reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with a hands-on approach.
- Up to 40% travel may be necessary.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $125,000 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
