- Work hand in hand with Head of Tesco to manage and develop Tesco group relationships at all levels and build cross functional relationships within Tesco Group
- Achieve agreed annual business targets at Net Sales, Gross Margin and Volume by product and category group.
- Full P and L management of Booker, One Stop, Brand (Retail) and Food Service
- Involvement in the execution of the Tesco trade plan and driving opportunities for growth across Tesco formats.
- Manage trade spend within defined limits
- Monitor and report Customer and Competitor activity
- Stay up to date with industry issues and consumer shopper trends
- Manage communication with Key Internal stakeholders – Marketing, Customer Marketing, Supply chain and Field Teams
- Manage the workings of the CDT Team.
- With support of Head of Tesco, execute the national field sales strategy. Review key KPIs and report back on risks and ops
Key Responsibilities:-
- Deliver agreed annual budgets across volume, revenue, trade spend and profit within agreed accounts
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting back to the business
- Implement the promotional and New Product Development plans.
- Deliver future relevant price increases in full.
- Develop Joint Business Plan within all managed accounts and drive customer commitment to execution.
- Manage day to day sales operation across all accounts within the direction set by the Sales Director
- Manage account debt within agreed limits
- Monitor and look to constantly improve ROI (promo evals)
- Ensure all day to day internal and external administration is completed in full and on time
- Management of top Booker depots across key regions
- Build day to day relationships with top regional CDMs and RDMs in Booker
- Work hand in hand with external field sales to drive top regions via days in trade
Requirements
- FMCG Retail experience is essential due to size and scale of customers
- Degree in Business related discipline / Relevant Educational Background
- At least 3 years relevant work experience
- 3 year in a relevant sales role
- IT skills and proficiency in MS Office and Excell
- Financially Literate
- Full Driving License
*This role requires nationwide travel due to customer base / field sales management
