What we do at Project Resources Group (PRG) 
 
Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a MxU Engineering Specialist with expertise in designing and implementing telecommunications infrastructure for multiple tenant units. This role is crucial for providing advanced technical solutions to our clients, focusing on efficiently integrating technologies within densely populated environments. The ideal candidate will possess an RCDD certification, experience with CAD and Visio, and a strong background in field engineering.
What you’ll do       
  1. Field Engineering Support:
    • Provide field engineering expertise to guide the implementation of MxU projects.
    • Apply practical knowledge and technical skills to address and resolve on-site challenges.
    • Plan, design, and implement fiber optic networks for indoor construction projects, focusing on Multi-Dwelling Units (MXUs).
  2. Design and Planning:
    • Utilize CAD and Visio to create detailed design documents and schematics for MxU telecommunications projects.
    • Ensure designs meet all client specifications and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project requirements.
  3. Building Code Compliance:
    • Stay updated on relevant building codes and regulations to ensure compliance in all design activities.
    • Incorporate building code requirements into fiber network designs to meet industry standards.
  4. MXU Experience:
    • Demonstrate expertise in designing fiber optic networks for Multi-Dwelling Units, considering the unique challenges and requirements of such projects.
    • Optimize designs for scalability and efficiency in MXU environments.
  5. Client Project Management:
    • Act as a technical liaison between clients and project teams. Ensure clear communication and accurate project execution aligned with client needs.
    • Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.
  6. Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain meticulous records of project specifications, adjustments, and compliance documents.
    • Ensure all engineering activities adhere to industry standards and best practices.
    • Generate reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including project progress and compliance with design specifications.
  7. Excel Proficiency:
    • Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, project tracking, and reporting.
    • Develop and maintain spreadsheets to manage and organize project-related information.
       
Do you have what it takes?       
  • RCDD Certification required
  • Proven experience as a Fiber Design Engineer, with a focus on telecommunications systems within multi-tenant units.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Visio for telecommunication infrastructure designs
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and project management.
Our commitment to you       
  • $70k-$85K per year, depending upon experience
