In this compelling leadership position, you will design, manage, and document data stores, data warehouses, and/or subject areas, as well as assess opportunities for improving or consolidating data stores, data warehouses, and their data elements.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Multifamily Principal Data Science (Hybrid) role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement approaches for data management and development or maintenance work on data models in support of enterprise projects as part of a Department or a larger, strategic initiative.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to identify, monitor, analyze, and evaluate data model discrepancies and data integration challenges, as well as lead team to address and resolve discrepancies and challenges.
  • Collaborate with management to define the approaches necessary to ensure effective coordination between business units and technical staff, as well as drive understanding of data usage, lineage, and attributes.
  • Oversee and ensure implementation of opportunities to align data architecture workstreams with business objectives.
  • Direct and execute the implementation of new data models and/or the reuse of data models in new environments.

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 8 years

Skills

  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Business Insight including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.

Tools

  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Skilled in Tableau
  • Skilled in Excel
  • Experience using JIRA

 

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent; Master degree preferred

Skills

  • Develop, manage, and implement a holistic MF Data Science strategy.  Candidate will help advance proof of concept, experimentation and application of AI/ML and GenAI capabilities to advance MF capabilities. 
  • Coordinate and implement Data Science training and development for MF division. 
  • Coordinate planning and execution of new and enhanced data acquisition patterns leveraging AI/ML and/or GenAI including unstructured data extraction, 3rd party data procurement, and enablement of APIs. 
  • Skilled in discovering patterns in large data sets with the use of relevant software such as Oracle Data Mining or Informatica 
  • Expertise in using statistical methods, including: developing and testing hypotheses, using experimental design, and running linear and logistic regressions 
  • Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process 
  • Focused experience in artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) 

Tools

  • Skilled in AWS Database products such as Neptune, RDS, Redshift, or Aurora 
  • Skilled in SQL 
  • Skilled in TOAD SQL database management tool 
  • Skilled in AWS Compute such as EC2, Lambda, Beanstalk, or ECS 
  • Skilled in Amazon Web Services (AWS) offerings, development, and networking platforms 
  • Skilled in Microsoft Teams 
  • Experience using scheduling software to book events 
  • Skilled in R Language Programming 
  • Skilled in Python object-oriented programming 
  • Skilled in AWS Machine Learning tools such as SageMaker, Lex, Polly, or Forecast 
  • Skilled in Alteryx for data analytics applications
