We are looking for MRI Technologists to join us at our Melbourne clinic!

The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating cutting-edge MRI equipment to provide high-quality imaging services for diagnostic and preventative purposes. This position requires technical expertise, a strong commitment to patient care, and adherence to regulatory standards specific to Australia’s healthcare system.

This is an on-site, permanent position. Our clinic operating hours will be determined by the demand in this location's area - we will be open Monday to Sunday, subject to change.

What You'll Do

  • MRI Operations:
    • Perform MRI scans in accordance with clinical protocols and imaging standards.
    • Ensure proper patient positioning, safety, and comfort during procedures.
    • Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Patient Care:
    • Educate patients about the MRI procedure, addressing any concerns or questions.
    • Monitor patients during scans to ensure their well-being and safety.
  • Data Management:
    • Accurately capture and store imaging data, adhering to data protection and confidentiality standards.
    • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic results.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with Australian healthcare and radiation safety regulations.
    • Participate in regular equipment testing and quality assurance programs.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on imaging advancements.

What You'll Bring

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Medical Imaging, Radiography, or a related field.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent certification.
  • Certification in MRI technology (preferred but not mandatory if experience is demonstrated).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI technologist, preferably in a diagnostic or preventative imaging setting.
  • Experience operating advanced MRI systems (experience with Phillips equipment is an advantage).

Skills:

  • Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of Australian healthcare compliance standards, accreditation and safety regulations.
