We are currently seeking experienced Mould Fabricators to join our team. As a Mould Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality molds for architectural cladding applications.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate moulds for architectural cladding using materials such as Wood, GRP, and Rubber.
- Ensure moulds meet tolerance specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain and repair moulds as needed to ensure continuous production.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings: The GRP Mould Fabricator must have a strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, including 2D and 3D models, to ensure the moulds are created according to specification.
- Material preparation and cutting: The GRP Mould Fabricator is responsible for cutting and preparing raw materials, including resin, fiberglass, and other materials required for mould production.
- Mould fabrication: The GRP Mould Fabricator must have experience with hand lay-up and spray-up processes to construct moulds to exact tolerances. They use a variety of tools, such as saws, grinders, and drills, to shape the moulds.
- Mould assembly and finishing: After fabrication, the GRP Mould Fabricator will assemble the moulds and make any necessary adjustments or repairs. They may also apply finish touches, such as gel coating, to the moulds.
- Quality control: The GRP Mould Fabricator must ensure that the moulds are of the highest quality and meet all customer specifications. They will perform quality control checks at various stages of the fabrication process to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Maintenance and repair: The GRP Mould Fabricator may be responsible for maintaining and repairing the moulds as required, to ensure their ongoing quality and longevity.
- Health and safety: The GRP Mould Fabricator must adhere to strict health and safety guidelines and protocols to ensure their own safety and that of their colleagues.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mould Fabricator for architectural cladding.
- Proven experience in fabricating moulds using Wood, GRP, and Rubber.
- Previous employment in reputed companies specializing in cladding materials such as GFRC, UHPC, and GRP.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
