RUN Studios is seeking a full-time Motion Designer who will create visually compelling experiences that drive engaging narratives.

This role on the design team requires an individual with broad experience in video production, with emphasis in motion design/animation and editing. Candidates should be well-versed in all aspects of animation (2D/3D), including concept development and element design, to compositing, and rotoscoping. Experience in live action editorial, storyboard, & Illustration experience is also required.

The Motion Designer will collaborate with designers, video editors, and producers, and will be expected to generate and contribute ideas for innovative digital experiences. In addition to strong creative and technical proficiency, this role requires an individual who can manage projects and support various aspects of video production, from concept to delivery.

This project will be full-time hours through June 30, 2024, with potential to extend or convert to full-time employment based on performance and client requirements. 

As a Motion Designer, You Will

  • Collaborate with team members to develop inspiring and engaging video concepts
  • Partner with creative directors, art directors, and business partners to align with visual systems, creative guidelines, and strategic business objectives
  • Primary pre-production responsibilities include storyboard and illustration, providing feedback and review on scripts, providing accurate scheduling for production scope
  • Primary post-production responsibilities include general 2D/3D animation, motion tracking and compositing, keying and rotoscoping
  • Prototype ideas quickly and produce strong conceptual animations that are engaging and unique
  • Keep projects on track and communicate updates with urgency, frequency, accuracy and transparency
  • Establish effective and productive working relationships with team members and internal business partners; give and receive feedback, and critique respectfully


As an Applicant, You Bring

  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in video production and motion design
  • Expert level command of the Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly After Effects, Premiere, and Illustrator, Cinema4D and general 3D know-how is desired but not required
  • Corporate experience, preferably in B2B tech with a good grasp on marketing and technical content development
  • An outstanding portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in 2D animation, compositing, design, and video production and editing
  • Excellent presentation skills and storytelling ability
  • Strong written and oral business communications skills, and ability to comfortably and professionally interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Ownership and accountability for work and outcomes—with a dedication to the details and the big picture—and a focus on the best outcomes
  • Ability to make thoughtful decisions quickly, simplifying creative solutions wherever possible
  • Ability to approach others with humility and learn from different perspectives, actively helping to build a culture where everyone feels they can be themselves—and be successful

Compensation

Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 (Salary)

The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.

Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
