We're looking for a talented Motion Content Designer.

So, what will you do?
- You will conceptualize, design and execute the production of video content and other digital features for iKhokha, playing a central role iKhokha’s video-first content strategy.
- Assist in the development of project scripts and outlines, giving technical feedback during the process.
- Design and produce high-quality motion graphics to be used in iKhokha videos, websites, presentations and digital products.
- Edit original footage to create engaging videos for YouTube, social media, the iKhokha website, presentations and digital product launches.
- Work closely with the Creative Director, content creators and creative team, the motion content designer is central to conceptualizing, planning, shooting and editing videos that align with iKhokha’s ambitious video strategy.
- You will also be delivering final animations and video optimized in the format chosen for their usage (web, social media, large presentation screen, social media).
In addition to the above, you will:
- Assists in designing/conceptualising and creating storyboards, mood boards and scripts.
- Track content trends and technologies to ensure output remains cutting edge and relevant.
- Full ownership of pre-production, shot lists and gear checks.
- Film high-quality video for video/web/social media dissemination.
- Design and deliver high-quality motion graphics optimised for video/web/social media dissemination.
- Edit high-quality video for video/web/social media dissemination
- Reports directly to Creative Director.
- Collaborate with the entire iK marketing team on relevant projects (copywriters, social media, designers, 3D animators).
- Collaborate with the entire iK Office (Product, Talent, Informal, Sponsorship)
- Be able to work with external consultants (videographers, photographers, voice-over artists, animators, developers/coders), to ensure that their work matches the motion CI of iKhokha as a whole.
- Be able to travel within South Africa when required for certain projects
- Be adaptable to the ever-changing creatives and fintech space.
- Diploma in related field (fine arts, multimedia production or journalism) with relevant technical training in video and digital design and production.
Deal Breakers:
- At least 4 years’ experience in video and digital content development, with strong capabilities in graphic design and video production.
- Knowledge of Production Gear required, specifically in lighting and camera work Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator required.
- Experience and/or knowledge in data visualization a plus.
- A portfolio of work or showreel.
- Ability to present concepts and data for a general audience using multiple forms of media (video, animation, stills, graphics, etc.)
- Experience in short-form storytelling through various editorial techniques including cuts, transitions, timing and the effective use of sound and visuals to communicate.
- DOP experience is advantageous and experience usage of camera equipment is essential.
Additional skills:
- High knowledge of photographic/video gear.
- High knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Pr/Ae).
- Fair knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Ai/Ps/Ai).
- Knowledge of working on set with all fellow creatives.
- Experience guiding video and multimedia projects from conception through completion.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skill.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
