The Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regulations within Kaizen Gaming. Responsibilities include maintaining EU Control Frameworks, implementing policies and procedures, managing suspicious activity reporting, and collaborating with regulatory authorities.

• Act as the Appointed Key Function Individual of Stoiximan for the prevention of money laundering, representing the company before Greek (GR) and Cypriot (CY) regulatory authorities.
• Represent the company to external agencies, such as regulators or law enforcement agencies, and manage third-party inquiries related to money laundering prevention, investigation, or compliance.
• Develop and maintain the firm's anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) policies in line with evolving statutory and regulatory obligations.
• Stay informed of any relevant sanctions, prohibitions or advisory notices, and, when necessary, advise management and staff about any individuals or institutions identified on the sanctions list.
• Respond promptly to any reasonable request for information from the regulator and/or law enforcement agencies.
• Review risk and complete risk assessments as required.
• Develop internal procedures in line with the requirements of the legislation and the relevant industry guidance.
• Investigate, measure, and report on the organization's risk of suspicious or fraudulent financial activity.
• Collaborate with auditors and regulators to minimize money-laundering risks to the business.
• Develop and implement strategies to comply with anti-money laundering laws.
• Maintain and update knowledge of AML compliance rules, regulations, laws, and best practices.
• Lead and participate in AML compliance training to help team members identify suspicious activities.
• Record and report any suspicious transactions or activities in an efficient and timely manner.

What you’ll bring:

• A bachelor’s degree in Law, Political, Financial or other related studies with a relevant Master’s degree preferred; 
• A professional qualification from an internationally recognized body (e.g. ICA, ACAMS) would be considered a plus;
• 3+ years of experience in an MLRO role; 
• Team management skills, with the ability to oversee compliance and control activities within a leading gaming operator; 
• Knowledge and experience in best practices and money laundering typologies in the gaming industry;
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with an attention to detail;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to manage workload effectively and in a timely manner;
• Fluency in English;
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of financial crime and AML policies and procedures in gaming operations; 
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex information to identify the key issue/action and drive resolution; 
• Deep knowledge of the European regulatory environment and key financial crime regimes.
