Position Summary:
The Molding Operator is responsible for extracting and pouring heated mix by weight to create cast epoxy-resin product
Primary Responsibilities:
Bucket Support
- Extract heated mix from mix tank into a pour barrel by weight and add additional components as required
- Draw pigment and master batch from R&D area
Cat Station
- Cat Station operations & Master batch dosing
- Log all required information in the Casting Database
- Perform quality inspection of mix and mold condition
- Communicates mix and mold conditions out of standard operating procedure to Task Leader / Supervisor
Pouring
- Pour heated mix into slab and sink aluminum molds using overhead hoist
- Extract cast sink parts from aluminum molds (sink department only)
- Assure molds are free of contaminants
- Operate Gel Oven for heated mixture insertion
- Other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate comprehension of positional work instructions
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Capable of becoming forklift certified
- Able to work overtime including weekends
- Measure by weight (g/lb.) using scales and basic math
- Required to wear a full face respirator
Educational/Training/ Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Minimum 3 months’ work experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push/pull up to 500 lbs. using a four wheel cart up to 25 feet
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach overhead repetitively during an 10 to 12-hour day
- Able to stand for minimum of 10 hours
- Lift minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly in a turning motion
- Ability to lift 50lbs. up to 48 inches (Sinks Department Only)
