Mobilisation and Trials Manager (Diverse Data) (12 Month FTC)

As our Mobilisation and Trials Manager on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, you'll play a pivotal role in orchestrating the implementation and execution of initiatives within our sickle cell and maternal health partnerships. Your responsibilities will include site selection, performance monitoring, study coordination, and engagement with local patient and public stakeholders. Collaborating closely with the Diverse Data Team, you'll ensure effective execution of projects and maintain strong relationships with key partners.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with the Diverse Data Team and cohort partners to facilitate participant recruitment for sequencing cohorts.
  • Engage with R&D, operations, and clinical roles across NHS Trust sites and academic collaborators, fostering productive relationships.
  • Provide support for protocol amendments, R&D submissions, and study documentation planning.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including research nurses, clinicians, and data managers, to garner support and expertise for research studies.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for local sites, maintaining communication databases and coordinating meetings.
  • Monitor and report on site set-up progress, ensuring timely initiation and recruitment.
  • Facilitate patient and public engagement activities at local and national levels, collaborating with community leaders and clinical staff.
  • Support local implementation of recruitment procedures, including staff training, consent procedures, and logistical arrangements.
  • Assist legal and ethics teams in completing necessary agreements with sites and partners, ensuring compliance and approvals.
  • Attend regular meetings to review program delivery and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • There may be some travel involved with this role. 

Skills & Experience for Success:

  • Experience in project management or clinical trials setup within healthcare or research settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

Salary from: £46,000

Genomics England operates a blended working model as we know our people appreciate the flexibility. We expect most people to come into the office 2 times each month as a minimum. However, this will vary according to role and will be agreed with your team leader. There is no expectation that staff will return to the office full time unless they want to, however, some of our roles require you to be on site full time e.g., lab teams, reception team. 

Our teams and squads have, and will continue to, reflect on what works best for them to work together successfully and have the freedom to design working patterns to suit, beyond the minimum. Our office locations are Canary Wharf, Cambridge and Leeds.
