ARSIEM is looking for a Mission Systems Administrator - Level 2. This position will support one of our Government clients in Lexington, MD.
Responsibilities
- System and Database Maintenance: Conduct routine system and database maintenance, including backups, updates, and applying security patches. Support database integrity, storage management, and data recovery to ensure uninterrupted access to critical information.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Manage backup and disaster recovery operations for both system and database environments, coordinating with Database Administrators (DBAs) to secure essential data.
- System Configuration and Database Management: Maintain configuration control for system resources, servers, and databases. Track database configurations, apply schema changes, and monitor data integrity across systems.
- User Support and Cross-Functional Account Management: Set up and manage user accounts, control access permissions, and troubleshoot both system and database-related issues for end-users across functional areas.
- Network and Security Compliance: Support network connectivity, firewall configuration, IP management, and ensure network security. Perform network and database security audits, ensuring full compliance with DoD cybersecurity and data management standards.
- Documentation and Compliance: Document configurations, database schemas, and security protocols, ensuring all practices align with RMF, NIST 800-53, and program-specific standards.
- ALIS/ODIN Transition Support: Provide support during the transition to ALIS and integration with ODIN components as they become operational.
Minimum Experience
- With Degree: 4+ years in System or Database Administration, or a related field.
- Without Degree: 6+ years in System or Database Administration, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications (at least one preferred):
- CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Technical Skills:
- Required skill proficiency in:
- System and database patching, backup, disaster recovery solutions, and storage management
- Windows and Linux OS, database management (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
- Configuration management, networking administration, and management
Preferred Qualifications
- Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)
- Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN) Base Kit (OBK)
- Offboard Mission Support systems and applications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for resolving system and database issues
- Effective communicator with cross-functional support skills
- Experience with high-security, DoD mission-critical systems
Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active DoD SECRET clearance with eligibility for additional access. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
