Position Overview

This position will assist in the areas of Minor League Player and Staff Travel Services/Logistics for the Philadelphia Phillies Player Development department, including but not limited to, flight arrangements, housing accommodations and car rental services/ground transportation.   The scope of work will include the Winter Training Period, Spring Training, Extended Spring Training, Florida Complex League, and Florida Bridge League seasons as follows:

January-March

  • Early mini camps and off-season rehab player travel to Clearwater
  • Approx. 160+ players and 50+ staff travel to minor league spring training
  • Free agent acquisition travel to spring training

April-September

Player transactions:  

  • Assist in travel services for minor league player transactions specifically with flight arrangements and/or ground transportation for the player move.

Rehab/Medical:

  • Assist medical staff with travel/hotel/ground transportation accommodations for rehab players traveling to medical appointments and/or to Clearwater for rehab assignments.

Amateur Draft:  

  • Assist with mobilizing newly acquired Drafted Players and Non-Drafted Free Agents

End of Season player/staff travel:           

  • Assist with travel arrangements for players/staff at the end of the season to their respective homes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field
  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong command of the English language, including excellent writing skills
  • Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred
  • Availability to work extended hours throughout the year, including weekends and holidays
  • Self-motivated and hard-working with excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs
  • Must possess exceptional time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Must be detail oriented, well organized, and possess a strong work ethic
  • Must be able to interact professionally with players, coaches, front office personnel and medical and training staff
