For this exciting position we are specifically targeting students who have a background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related fields. The Autonomous Mining System Co-op will be responsible for hardware and software development, troubleshooting, data analytics, and innovation. The individual in this role will support in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our systems. From developing reports and key performance indicators to participating in proof of concepts and conducting on-site visits, you will gain valuable experience in maintaining efficient operations and driving innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Autonomous Mining/Drilling Systems (CAT, Komatsu & Flanders) deployment & sustainment. 
  • Supporting various projects such as development of the Universal Alerting, Monitoring & Sustainment program, Oxbotica Level 5 Autonomy. 
  • Developing/generating KPI reports for the AHS operations data analysis and data validation. 
  • Drafting Technical documentation including but not limited to Visio Diagrams (AHS & ADS) and Service Now workflows. 

Qualifications

  • Background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related fields  
  • Willing to get hands dirty and work in an industrial environment as the need arises 
  • Fundamental knowledge of Computers (Active Directory, Domains), Networks (IP, DHCP, DNS etc.) and Database Systems (SQL etc.) 
  • Comfortable working in a multifaceted work environment  
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously  
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate sophisticated ideas to all levels  
  • Able to work efficiently independently as well as part of the team and take initiative  
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently  
  • Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand 
  • Class 5 or Equivalent Driver License
