The Geoeconomic Influence & Threat Intelligence (GITI) team within Janes specializes in the risks present at the intersection of global business activity and national security concerns. We are searching for a Military/Economic Analyst to join the team in the Bangalore, India office.
The Military/Economic Analyst position would assist with the tracking of Chinese and Russian business activity around the world. The position entails online research, writing, and analysis. The successful candidate would have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as economics, business, international relations, or regional studies.

• Proven research skills and analytic experience
• Keen attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work under daily deadlines
• Experience and knowledge of matters pertaining to China, including China's policymaking process, strategic objectives, national security planning, business environment, economic structure, and industrial base
• An understanding of international political economy and finance
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both spoken and in writing
• Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred, including the ability to read and analyze original language sources
