Are you passionate about building reliable data infrastructure and pipelines? At C the Signs, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you’ll be pivotal in shaping the backbone of our data systems, creating scalable pipelines, and ensuring the seamless flow of data across the company. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in data engineering principles, expertise in SQL, and experience working with cloud-based data warehouses. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with various teams to support analytics, data-driven decision-making, and product development. At C the Signs, our data stack includes Snowflake, Tableau, dbt, and Prefect; these will be the primary tools in your day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure continuous streamline of data into our Analytics Warehouse (Snowflake) via Prefect pipelines
  • Work with our Lead Data Analyst to maintain our Analytics Warehouse as the single source of truth for all organizational metrics.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to define data requirements, data schemas, and integration processes.
  • Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Ensure data security by implementing access controls, encryption, and regular security audits.
  • Clearly communicate findings to stakeholders and maintain thorough documentation for data pipelines, models, and workflows.
  • Uphold data integrity through regular audits and quality checks.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in data engineering, experimenting with new tools and techniques to improve data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Python, SQL, and dbt.
  • Some experience with AWS and Terraform would be a huge plus.
  • Self-starter who can decompose complex projects into actionable steps.
  • Understanding of Scrum methodologies and agile principles.
  • Embraces a continuous improvement mindset and seeks efficiencies.
  • Values open, honest, and transparent communication.
