Forge alternate worlds that deepen players' lives! We're a game development studio based in Los Angeles, dedicated to the idea that online games can deliver deeper, more meaningful experiences.

Develop game systems for Palia, the multiplayer community sim game from Singularity 6. We are seeking an experienced Game Engineer to join our cosmetics team, helping us build and strengthen the way that players express themselves in the world.

Most of our game engineers are generalists and may find themselves working on anything from gameplay, UE5 engine modifications, performance tuning, tools, and workflow improvements for designers and tech artists. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach and open feedback environment in which you’ll work closely with designers and others in crafting Palia.

What We're Looking For:

  • You’ll join one of our several cross-functional teams, with other engineers, designers, and artists.
  • You’ll participate in developing Palia.
  • You’ll program C++ game systems in Unreal Engine 5.
  • You’re responsible for developing automated tests, instrumenting telemetry and participating in peer review of your work and the work of your colleagues.
  • You’ll help support our on-call team by diagnosing issues and fixing bugs.

Nice to Have:

  • You have 3 or more years experience developing and shipping games using a modern game engine. We have a strong preference for engineers with prior experience in Unreal Engine technologies.
  • You have 3 or more years of C++ programming experience. You are comfortable developing and debugging in multithreaded code and multiplayer networked systems.
  • You have a passion for great gameplay. You’re a pragmatic engineer that puts player experience over your own ego and code.
  • You want to learn something new. We’re largely a team of generalists. Your work may take you into systems you’ve not touched before, such as UE5 engine code, netcode, graphics, AI, UI, build systems and beyond.

Salary Information:

The Los Angeles base salary range for this full-time position is $119,490 - $149,490 annually for a mid-level Game Engineer and $145,000 - $175,000 annually for a senior-level Game Engineer.
