Overall, the team sits within the internal IT department and is focused on defining our technology strategy and developing, implementing and supporting hardware, software and cloud infrastructure solutions to support the global IT operation for PA Consulting. As a subject matter expert in Microsoft 365 which is continually evolving, you will be
at the forefront of change, helping to set the strategy and delivering high-impact projects that align with our strategic goals.

Dimensions of role


You will be interacting with people across our corporate IT function daily, from our business analysts, system architects and cyber security experts to developers and application colleagues with great knowledge of the wider IT ecosystem. You will prioritise engagement with our end users to understand how they use modern work technologies
and to help them get the most out of our tools.

You'll be guaranteed that every day will bring a new challenge in this varied role, but the typical day will see you keeping up-to-date with Microsoft releases across Office 365 / Microsoft 365, including researching the product roadmaps. After analysing and distilling the essential elements for PA, you will engage across the IT teams to pull together the expertise required to understand the impacts. and importantly, identifying what we may need to test. Through weekly and monthly monitoring, you will see how PA adjusts and adapts to the tools. You will regularly meet with the technology leaders
in our department to create a roadmap and plan of change.

You’ll have the opportunity to get involved with:

  • Monitoring the Microsoft roadmap, blogs and other sources at a detailed level whilst coordinating with the service delivery teams, including those from Digital Workplace, on the roadmap and potential change opportunities
  • Building relationships in the business to understand how PA People use modern work technologies and supporting services by acting as a bridge between our consulting and business professional teams and the internal IT function. Using these relationships to identify what new capabilities they will benefit from and how the Microsoft suite of products can fulfil these
  • Helping to decide which new or complimentary features to test and popularise and leading the business communications and rollout associated with those features
  • Identifying and communicating service release notes and training materials as well as best practices and helpful user guides for the Microsoft 365 modern workplace suite
  • Working with cross-discipline teams to reduce the impact of change across the service

About You

 

  • You’ll have experience working with Microsoft 365 from an infrastructure and development perspective
  • Understanding the business process behind communication, knowledge sharing and knowledge creation
  • Understanding security, segregation of duties, development processes and best practices
  • A proven ability in managing customer and supplier relationships
  • Proven track record of delivering IT support and change at an organisational level
