MI Planning Analyst

Vivo Energy Madagascar is hiring a MI Planning Analyst. The position will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Manager and the Country Leadership Team by managing organizational performance, designing, and driving the delivery of the plans. This position is integral to fostering informed decision-making to achieve profitable growth.

Principal Accountabilities:

Financial Analysis

  • Ensure that the different monthly/quarterly financial reports are completed and submitted, ensuring compliance with established group deadlines and quality standards.
  • Analyze the financial performance (including but not limited to the segmented income statement, balance sheet and cash flow) of the OU on a monthly basis and coordinate in country performance reviews.
  • Monitor and analyze factors and variances affecting unit performance.

Capex management/coordination

  • Oversee and report on Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) compliance and provide monthly updates to support internal controls.
  • Ensure that Post Investment Reviews, Capex tracking and monthly reporting, capex monitoring and control are performed as required

Cost management

Track and analyze cost drivers and explain variances on local expenses by cost centers on a monthly basis.

Annual plan/ Quarterly forecasts

Coordinate and prepare the annual plan and quarterly forecasts as per the group deadlines, ensuring high-quality data accuracy and departmental collaboration.

Margin Analysis and volume reporting

Review and analyze volume performance against plan and prior year on a monthly basis. Analyze gross margin by segment in full details to allow a better understanding of the financial performance of the OU.

Management Information

  • Custodian of MI architecture and manuals in the country
  • Ensure timely reporting of Management Information (MI) reports, maintaining a keen focus on data quality and adherence to KPIs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Finance or Accounting, Finance
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a finance role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong foundation in finance, accounting, management information, planning, or economics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Vivo Energy's business model, including Supply & Distribution (S&D) and margin structures.
  • Proficient analytical thinker with robust problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven individual with the ability to lead projects and implement changes effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration with management teams and central finance.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
