Are you ready to dive into a dynamic role where you will lead the operation of MHS Supervisor role?

We are seeking multiple skilled MHS Supervisors to join our team and oversee the safe and efficient execution of our projects. In this role you will supervise the operation and maintenance of MHS systems and personnel, ensuring all tasks are performed to the highest standards and in compliance with internal and external requirements. Leading by example in focusing on the safety of the crew and individuals involved in MHS operations will be an important part of your job.

The MHS Supervisor is a fully qualified MHS Operator, responsible for the supervision of the safe and efficient operation of vessel MHS equipment. Additionally, they are responsible for planning, setting up, leading, and documenting maintenance or administrative duties as directed by Asset Management and the MHS Technical Supervisor (STS).

Requirements

  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership abilities and a willingness to solve tasks and take care of the team.
  • Simulator Training: Completed simulator training with MHS Crew Resource Management (CRM module).
  • Mechanical Understanding: Working understanding of the mechanics of heavy industrial equipment/machinery, e.g., cranes, MHS systems, construction equipment.
  • System Awareness: Awareness of how systems operate and the consequences of operator performance and behavior for project execution, and the safety of self and others.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to apply organizational skills to maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Data Interpretation: Ability to use computer-based systems to interpret data and draw appropriate conclusions, taking (or recommending) appropriate action.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficient use of spoken and written Norwegian and English (minimum standard IMO Model Course 3.17 in Maritime English, Parts 1 & 2).
  • Initiative: Showing initiative and being self-starting.
  • Responsiveness: Constructive and responsive to supervisor’s/manager’s requests.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to learning and developing skills and knowledge.
  • Listening Skills: Ability to listen to others and be prepared to receive feedback.
  • Collaboration: Cooperating with others and adapting to change.

Additional Qualifications

  • Leadership Training: Background and training in leadership.
  • Technical Qualification: Possession of a technical qualification (e.g., Technical Trade SVQ 3/HNC/HND, Hydraulics, PLC Engineer, Electrical Engineer, CIS Degrees, Process Operator, Marine Engineers, Maintenance, Mechanical Certificate of Competency).
  • Offshore Experience: Previous offshore industry experience.
  • Control Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of control systems of heavy industrial equipment/machinery, e.g., operation of SCADA or similar systems.
  • Module Handling: Experience in module handling and heavy lifting in an offshore environment.
