Minted is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented Merchant to join our Greeting Cards team. The Merchandising Manager of Greeting Cards will be responsible for driving sales across our wholesale and e-commerce channels, and across various wholesale partners, such as Target, Doordash, Amazon, and The Met. Merchants at Minted work closely with design submissions from our talented community of artists, as well as data from our analytics team, to bring forth a fresh, balanced assortment to inspire our customers.
This individual will be responsible for overarching merchandising strategy and analysis, wholesale and e-commerce assortments, and execution of product.
This role is based in our San Francisco, CA office. Our SF-based team has an in-person 3x a week schedule.

You Will:
- Lead Seasonal and Everyday Wholesale Assortments:
- Author merchandising strategy for each fixture in an assortment based on Minted’s unique crowd curation model, past business, and current trend.
- Present assortments to key stakeholders, including VP of Merchandising and SVP of Business Development, to achieve buy in
- Manage Average Selling Price through printing type, embellishment, and other innovations
- Oversee sampling process and artist communications of Wholesale Assortments
- When needed, work with Business Development team to put together compelling pitch presentations for new and existing partners
- Drive actions through merchandising insights:
- Analyze performance by category, caption, and SKU, cogently communicating strengths and opportunities to stakeholders weekly.
- Develop weekly, monthly and seasonal merchandising reports and insights for each retail partner
- Work closely with our Analytics team on proprietary Greeting Cards productivity analysis.
- Manage Seasonal and Everyday E-Commerce Assortments:
- Drive e-commerce process from challenge to launch utilizing data and analysis drawn from Minted’s unique crowd curation model.
- Develop online merchandising strategy. Collaborate and execute the online merchandising including filters, SKU organization and ranking, and optimizing the overall “shoppability” of Greeting Card assortments.
- Maintain Merchandising Leadership in Greeting Cards:
- Closely monitor the competitive landscape and customer need, identifying growth opportunities and initiating action.
- Partner with the Artist Relations team on recruitment, engagement and retention of artists for the Greeting Cards category.

- Have a penchant for language and tone. In Greeting Cards, “the art attracts, the verse sells,” so this person needs to understand the psychology of language.
- Results-driven, focused, and analytical. Outstanding follow-up, organization, and time management skills.
- A passionate customer advocate. You are ready to put the customer first and influence others across the company to think similarly.
- Excited to work in a collaborative team environment and are motivated to ask questions.
You Have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree and 3-6 years of work relevant experience in merchandising, buying, consulting, art & design and/or category management. Bonus is experience at a design-led retailer or in stationery.
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Strong quantitative skills.
- An intuitive understanding of not only what will sell, but also what constitutes truly differentiated and high-quality art and design.
- A love for data and the ability to analyze a problem, using data to articulate a recommendation, and take action accordingly.
- A clear understanding of financial retail measurements and how to impact them.
- A clear understanding of inventory management and buying principles.
- A clear understanding of Minted’s crowdsourcing model and how it differs from traditional retail.
- A love for art and design. Bonus for familiarity with graphic design, type design, and stationery substrates, as well as print production.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation:
The compensation range for the role applies to both employment offers and Minted employees actively working in the role. Our employment offers fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range to allow for continued salary growth during your employment at Minted. The upper half of the range accommodates this growth and supports our intention to create an environment that encourages lasting relationships between Minted and our employees.
Geo Base Full Salary Range 0 - Includes SF Bay Area $149,073 - $223,609 (Midpoint $186,341)
This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus and stock options.
