Membership Auditor  - Trade Unions Sector – PART TIME – 9 MONTH FTC – Hybrid/ Remote Role with Travel

Civica have a unique opportunity for a Membership Auditor to join our team on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract, to start in OCTOBER and run to July on a 20 hours per week contract, with the opportunity for this repeat year on year.

We must highlight that this role IS NOT financial auditing. This role could suit someone from a compliance, membership or business consulting background.

The external audit function at Civica Election Services undertakes a variety of management system, process and compliance audits including within the Trade Union sector.

The Purpose of the role is to assist the Audit Manager in performance and delivery of the external audit function, working with our Trade Union clients. You will assess internal processes, controls and membership management systems against statutory criteria. Findings will be documented in a concise report, providing evidence-based assurance with recommendations for improving outcomes to achieve a more efficient organisation moving forward.

This involves delivery of an agreed range of audit engagements to meet outcomes, time and quality expectations.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Liaise with clients to plan and conduct assigned external audits.
  • Observe and analyse business processes related to membership administration.
  • Assess compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compile assurance reports documenting audit findings and recommendations.
  • Validate evidence to ensure reports and conclusions are accurately documented, providing valuable insights for the client.
  • Nurture and maintain positive client relationships.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk management and will have experience of working in a customer focused audit or compliance environment. You will be an excellent listener with an inquisitive and analytical mind.
