As a Member of Anchorage Digital’s Client Operations team, you are responsible for supporting our clients in their daily activities and will play a crucial role in reconciling the activity of various digital assets, ensuring timely settlements, while also implementing strong risk mitigation strategies.
This position requires a deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, financial operations, and risk management. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, the ability to handle complex tasks, organizational knowledge, and effective communication and influence capabilities. You have a full understanding of the settlement operations, as well as the regulatory and operational considerations of each step. You support client interactions across multiple teams and work closely with your Client Operations teammates in ensuring processes and procedures are developed and continuously refined.

Technical Skills:
- Execute and oversee the end-to-end processing of client operations for institutional clients. This includes receiving, verifying, and reviewing operations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Proficient in utilizing blockchain explorers, trading platforms, and other relevant software/tools to reconcile and monitor the activity of different digital assets.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and procedures related to digital assets, including the ability to reconcile balances and transactions across multiple platforms and wallets.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to generate accurate and meaningful settlement reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Manage the complexities of reconciling and settling transactions involving a wide range of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, tokenized assets as well as fiat currencies.
- Handle time-sensitive tasks, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines to ensure efficient and timely settlements.
- Create internal presentations, reporting, and/or lead projects to enhance internal processes, or contribute to the development of new tasks.
- You are a prolific individual contributor capable of delivering day-to-day results on core tasks autonomously. Manage and control the monitoring of all outstanding settlements.
- Effectively prioritize and triage competing tasks by ensuring accuracy with both Client and Counterparty monitoring tools.
- Gauge risks to the organization and to clients, thoughtfully addressing complicated questions.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Stay updated with the evolving cryptocurrency industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and best practices related to settlements and custodial services.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of different cryptocurrencies, their underlying technologies, and the operational processes involved in custodianship.
- Ensures that knowledge is shared amongst the team and does not position themselves or others as a single point of failure.
- Is familiar with the responsibilities and interests of interdepartmental teams, as well as, fosters collaborative relationships and partnerships to achieve common goals.
Communication and Influence:
- Coach other members of the team as needed, and help identify any shortcomings of current processes.
- You have "executive presence," i.e. confidence and composure interfacing with financial investors and C-level executives.
- Actively contributes to discussions within the team to improve processes and productivity, and thoughtfully conveys information and insights with impact when working with other teams to address project & issues.
- Forges relationships with key partners, specifically in support of the organization's compliance and product departments as well as external counter parties.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as traders, operations teams, compliance officers, and executives, to resolve settlement-related issues.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and agility, to identify emerging risks quickly, brainstorm solutions, and pivot when goals change
- 3+ years experience supporting the settlement activities of institutional client
- A deep understanding of traditional financial services, products and strategies as required to provide thought leadership and strategic support to Anchorage clients and the goals they have to implement their own strategies
- Experience interfacing with institutional clients in a financial services setting, with an understanding of US Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) requirements
- An understanding of the crypto industry’s landscape, tokens/protocols, and different verticals in which they’re deployed (staking, governance, etc.)
- A keen ability to adapt and learn quickly as business strategies evolve and new products and tasks are introduced
Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
- Experience in python, SQL, or database querying languages
