Medical Assistant & Advocate, Geriatric Care

Gainesville, United States
Full-Time
About Us:

We're a stealth-mode healthcare startup backed by Atomic VC, dedicated to transforming senior care by integrating state-of-the-art tech with compassionate, in-person support and care. Partnering closely with community physician practices, our platform guides seniors through life-altering healthcare decisions and simplifies the complexities of our high-cost, often overwhelming healthcare system. If you're energized by building something extraordinary from the ground up and passionate about improving people's lives, this role is for you.

Position Overview:

The Medical Assistant & Advocate serves as a vital bridge between our senior patients and their virtual clinical care team, implementing our nationally recognized clinical model – one that has been published in leading medical journals and adopted by some of the most prestigious institutions across the country. Working within established medical practices, you'll combine traditional medical assistant responsibilities with supportive health coaching to provide comprehensive care for our senior population. Through both in-person and telehealth interactions, you'll help seniors navigate their health journeys while supporting our virtual physician team in delivering exceptional care.

As part of our pioneering team, you'll learn directly from renowned geriatric clinicians while having a front-row seat to healthcare innovation. This ground-floor opportunity positions you to make a meaningful difference in seniors' lives while gaining insights and experience that would typically take years to acquire in traditional healthcare settings.

Who You Are - Key Skills and Qualities:

You are a compassionate, patient-focused professional driven by the desire to support and uplift others. You thrive in a role that blends empathy with action, and you're energized by creating meaningful impact through each individual patient interaction. Here's what we're looking for:

Devoted Patient Champion: You see yourself as an ally to seniors and care deeply about creating a space where they feel truly heard and understood. You bring empathy to every interaction, naturally picking up on both spoken and unspoken needs while guiding them on their health journey.

Resourceful & Resilient: When faced with barriers, you don't stop at surface solutions—you dive deeper to address underlying issues and identify meaningful ways to support your patients.

Collaborative Team Player: You believe the best care is holistic. You're excited to work hand-in-hand with a diverse team of clinicians, community resources, and families to provide wrap-around support.

Adaptable & Open to Change: You embrace change and are comfortable in fast-evolving environments where learning and adjusting are the norm. You are proactive about improving processes and eager to grow.
