Medical Advisor - Hematology

AbbVie is looking for a Medical Advisor who will work in Sweden with our portfolio in Hematology mainly within Lymphoid indications. The candidate will represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned product(s) in hematology with a local and Scandinavian scope. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with experts and academic centers; attend scientific congresses, arrange advisory groups, discussion forums and symposia.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and medical education to health professionals.
  • Prepare scientific/medical information on request.
  • Assist in initiating, supervising and following up evidence generation and medical projects.
  • Review and approval of advertising material. Ensure that medical/scientific content is correct and in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Be a medical expert in cross-functional teams, and provide medical/scientific input to medical affairs strategies, marketing strategy and commercial initiatives.

Additionally, your flexibility and adaptability in navigating ambiguity and embracing change will be crucial in thriving within our organization.

  • Cand. Med., Cand. Pharm., M.Sc., Cand. Scient or equivalent
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in written and oral Swedish.
  • Fluency in written and oral English.
  • Willingness to travel within Sweden and Scandinavia on a regular basis and outside ad hoc.
  • Experience in oncology/hematology is an advantage.
  • Experience from a medical affairs role in pharma is an advantage
  • Clinical experience and solid research experience (PhD) is an advantage.
