The salary for this role is between $160,000 - $180,000
We have an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and talented Media Strategy Director to join our US business, based on the East Coast. The Media Strategy Director provides digital media recommendations and problem-solving to clients both internal and external, and prepares and implements media plans and other deliverables.
This position will work closely with Jellyfish’s Investment Analytics department, combining MMM, attribution and experimentation into advanced media planning workflows. If you want to test media, interrogate data and it all with rigor and advanced analysis then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. The ideal candidate will have exposure to MMM projects, coupled with strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
You will be working closely with the VP Media Strategy, US as well as other senior members of the US team, giving you a platform to excel and develop.
Responsibilities
Owns all aspects of media planning, including but not limited to:
- Data-Driven Strategy Development: work with the team to identify strategies and approaches across multiple digital channels (display, search, social, video)
- Utilize attribution, media mix modelling and planning tools (Google Attribution 360, Nielsen, Comscore, Doubleclick etc.) to pull audience consumption, competitive reports and forecast effective target goals.
- Develop digitally neutral media plans, flighting recommendations and forecast attributable performance across all channels and campaigns.
- Plan Development: negotiate with publishers, compile plan specifics, assign budgets, run reach and frequency reports, and accurately finalize all client-facing documents.
- Manage client budgets, investments, and purchase authorization process.
- Work with wider planning and analytics team to generate insightful campaign reports with optimization recommendations while media is live.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Paid Search, Display, Analytics, etc.) to manage processes
- Strong knowledge and understanding of campaign performance measurement and demonstrate how to optimize different KPIs depending on client objectives and consistently deliver strong results through testing and ongoing optimization.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with the publisher community.
- Proactively monitor the digital landscape and identify trends/partners for upcoming campaigns
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics or related field
- Demonstrate experience having worked on advanced or large scale media campaigns within an agency or client environment
- Strong understanding of attribution or quantitative skills
- 5+ years of experience in marketing strategy or media analytics; experience leading MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling) projects is a strong plus.
- Experience in client relationship management, providing tailored analytics solutions.
- Proven ability to develop and execute test-and-learn strategies to enhance media performance and efficiency.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Tableau, Python, or R is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and social media analytics tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and applications, particularly in the context of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM).
- Knowledge and passion for all things Digital Media; SEM, SEO, Display, Analytics, etc.
- Keeps up to date on the evolving digital landscape, and how digital fits into the overall marketing plan
- Understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements
- Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Word, and advanced knowledge of Excel
