What you will do:

The Media Relations Manager will lead the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives to enhance the company’s brand reputation and stakeholder engagement. This role requires experience in media relations, working directly with reporters and outlets to tell the story of Electra.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists. Prepare press releases, media kits, pitches, and responses. 
  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Work with the Head of Communications to create and execute comprehensive communication plans that shape and share the company’s narrative and impact. 
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality content, including speeches, articles, newsletters, and digital content, ensuring alignment with company messaging and brand voice. 
  • Social Media Management: Develop campaigns across targeted platforms consistent with Corporate strategy that enhance brand visibility and engagement. 
  • Community Engagement: Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and community leaders. 

What we need you to bring to the team:  

  • BS degree or related experience 
  • 10+ years of experience in communications, media/ public relations, public affairs or a related role 
  • Extensive experience pitching media outlets and working with reporters on developing stories 
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies as demonstrated with data analytics 
  • Strong writing background, including writing press releases, blogs, social media content, and presentations and demonstrated through a portfolio of past work 
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to non-technical audiences 

What we want you to bring to the team:

  • Previous experience in start-up or fast-paced environments 
  • Familiarity with technology and industrial processes

 

This is an onsite position in Boulder, CO 

 

Compensation:  

  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $108,000-$140,000 annually, but it may be more or less depending on skills, experience, and education.
