Position Overview:
The Media Production Specialist is responsible for the creation of video-based courses and podcasts for Colibri. They are accountable for producing professional quality audio and video content that adheres to industry standards. The Media Production Specialist serves in various video production roles such as, pre-production liaison, video director, producer, and post-production editor. The Media Production Specialist must be willing to occasionally travel as work dictates (approximately 3-6 trips per year).
What You'll Do
- Planning and Developing Instructional Courses.
- Own the course creation process from start to finish.
- Work closely with SME and Live Training Coordinator to schedule appropriate amount of time needed to record course content
- Service our B2B partners course production requests including: Creating new content via studio and/or remote productions. Act as the quality assurance lead, ensuring the final product meets operational and quality goals.
- Conduct needs assessments and makes product recommendations based on organizational goals.
- Maintain organized directories for all course materials.
- Observe established naming and cataloging procedures for files.
- Upload and archive all video assets properly.
- Embrace effective and timely communication with all members of the team as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with the Director and Production Manager regarding progress on content creation.
- Deliver professional and respectful communication with all SMEs and course authors.
- Ensure regular attendance and participation in team and company meetings.
- Be an encouraging and calming influence for course authors in the studio and remotely.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- BA in Video/Film Production or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of professional level production experience, including, but not limited to: field and studio camera experience, podcast production, post-production editing, live and/or live-to-tape control room experience
- Adobe Creative Suite skills a must.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and superior written skills.
- Commitment to excellence and high-performance standards.
- Ability to successfully adjust to meet changing demands.
