Penta Intelligence is hiring for an intern to support a next-generation news monitoring service; we use both professionals and technology to support our clients. The Penta Intelligence process is designed to inform the decision-making cycle for media engagement and improve planning, feedback, and reporting for public affairs and communications teams.
Penta Intelligence delivers real-time alerts directly into the inboxes of those engaging and responding to media every day. Our team of dedicated media analysts is trained in the latest media aggregation tools and conduct hands-on analysis to deliver the news and insights clients need to make more informed decisions.
Penta Intelligence is seeking a full-time, paid intern in the continental US with a demonstrated capacity to work remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor news and events across outlets and platforms, including print, digital, television, radio, and social media
- Collaborate with a team of analysts to alert the news to clients in a timely and effective manner
- Collect and prepare data to support media analysis
- Assist with long-term research projects
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills in English
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities
- Motivated worker with a willingness to collaborate
- Interest in the media and the 24/7 news cycle
- Available to work 40 hours per work on an AM Shift (6 AM - 2PM ET)
- Available to commit to the internship for 6 months
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Access to working computer with MS Office Suite
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with media monitoring
- Recent college graduate with a degree in communications, journalism, government, economics or related field
Compensation:
The hourly pay for this internship will be $20 per hour.

Location and Remote Schedule:
For this position, we are only considering applicants in the United States, who are able to work remotely on Eastern Time hours.
