Responsibilities:

  • Scope maintenance work for upcoming turnarounds or outages.
  • Conduct field inspections to determine job scope.
  • Develop detailed workplans for efficient scheduling and execution.
  • Maintain plant history files and technical documents to prevent delays.
  • Improve maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
  • Estimate costs and time for turnaround or maintenance work.
  • Write procedures to ensure defect-free maintenance quality.
  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance history and job records.
  • Ensure up-to-date technical information on processes, plant, and equipment.
  • Improve planning, purchasing, stores, data management, and job reporting systems.
  • Ensure maintenance work is planned to meet critical dates.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years of industry experience, with qualifications such as an interprovincial Red Seal in a Mechanical Trade, a Technical Diploma, or a Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in maintenance or turnaround planning, particularly in an industrial setting.
  • Strong skills in planning, budgeting, and estimation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with SAP or other relevant CMMS (an asset).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Planning certification and leadership experience are considered assets.
