The role of a system engineer involves overseeing the development, verification, and testing of the mechanical elements of the aircraft, both internally and externally developed, to ensure it meets all product and certification requirements. You work closely with your team to optimize the system definition, requirements and verification, taking into account key factors such as usability, maintenance, costs, and timeline.
You will be responsible for defining testing requirements for both development and verification phases. Ultimately, your efforts will play a vital role in ensuring that the mechanical elements meet the expectations of various stakeholders and perform to the highest standards.
You will work autonomously and provide guidance to the rest of the system engineering team as well as other interfaces that depend on the systems engineering process. You will define development and verification strategies, and will have a high influence on the development of mechanical systems.
