Growing government contractor looking to bring on a Mechanical Engineer.   ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a mechanical engineer for the Tactical Hardware business area, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, building, and testing a torpedo tube deployment system capable of launching payloads from a submarine platform.   We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Design of electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature); Proficiency utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards; Experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.   What sets you apart: Advanced proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects with successful outcomes Exceptional communication skills with experience writing technical papers and proposals Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
