EquipmentShare is Hiring a Mechanical Engineer III
EquipmentShare is searching for a Mechanical Engineer III for our office in Moberly, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow.
Job Summary: Responsible for utility truck bed design and development. Responsible for design of various mechanical parts related to OEM integration of EquipmentShare proprietary products, and the design of products to support the overall EquipmentShare mission.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Concept and develop mechanical components and systems that may include design of weldments, stampings or laser cut parts, and bonding of components
- Communication with suppliers and customers on product selection and integration
- Work with manufacturing, product verification and validation, and suppliers to develop efficient and cost effective designs
- Document the design solution required for production and product validation testing
- Experience working with 3D modeling software such as Creo and SolidWorks, including the modeling of components, sheet metal, and hydraulic or electrical routings
- Other duties and design projects as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Truck body design experience is helpful
- Experience in 3-D Modeling Software; Creo experience (Preferred)
- Previous experience with Windchill or PDMLink
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Design of weldments to meet AWS D1.1 requirements
- Design experience or exposure to off-road mobile equipment
- Ability to address quality issues, determine root cause and drive to a corrective action
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 to 5 years related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer
