KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reads and interprets blueprints, component specifications, bills of materials, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Prepares mechanical sketches and drawings by rendering sectional, auxiliary, and multiviews, sub-assemblies, pictorials, dimensions, and developments, producing two- and three-dimensional orthographic projections using computer-aided design (CAD) and pictorial techniques, and producing three-dimensional (3-D) models.
• Produces engineering documentation by calculating, verifying, and copying data; comparing drawings to established standards; maintaining drawing files and databases; adhering to the ECN procedures; reading bills of material; searching and retrieving parts numbers.
• Researches and evaluates customer requirements to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
• Documents engineering design by recording design features, functions, operational requirements, and warnings, and maintaining the design databases.
• Works with suppliers to procure and expedite prototype components and test equipment, as necessary.
• Evaluate design by developing simulations; identifying, isolating, and resolving design problems, and conducting tests.
• Understands concepts of tension, compression, bending forces, and weight.
• Experienced in tolerance stack-up calculation and GD&T.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple tasks. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate of completion of a CAD based training program OR
• 3 years of practical experience and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding job expectations. 
• Experience with CAD - AutoCAD,  Inventor, Solidworks, Creo (Co-Create) PPSV (MRP System)
