Job Overview:
The MDM Product Manager of Enterprise Analytics, with a focus on Human Resources, will have knowledge of People data and HR key business processes and how those processes create, update and delete People master data. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Employee Master Data system, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of employee master data. The person filling this role will have enough knowledge of the IT landscape to communicate well with all technical roles. Ideally, this person will have a high degree of credibility in the organization and will be effective in communicating with and influencing the people at all levels.

Your primary role will own and maintain People master data models, responsible for analyzing the technologies and best practices for implementing and evolving metadata and master data management on Employee master data. You’ll focus on the uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, governance, semantic consistency and accountability of People master data assets.

You will also help prioritize and develop data solutions tailored to the HR team's analytics needs, enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing HR data and a deep understanding of master data management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Employee Master data, ensuring it effectively supports the needs of the People Analytics team and complies with data governance standards
  • Understanding of how master data is used within business processes and its impact on desired business process outcomes
  • Awareness of the security, privacy, ethics and quality requirements for critical data entities
  • Solid project management skills to guide point-in-time and ongoing targeted data quality, retention, security, privacy and ethics improvement projects
  • Deep and comprehensive understanding of the importance and impact of data (or bad data) on the ability of the business to meet its own objectives
  • Visibility with and respect from all levels of the organization — lead domain data stewards must have credibility and a track record of success in the business
  • Facilitation and conflict resolution skills to assist in resolving the different points of view and requirements that invariably collide during cross-team and cross-organization efforts
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including senior management and executives
  • Ability to influence peers and subordinates to modify behaviors and provide support for the adoption of data governance policies
  • Drive data quality initiatives, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of HR data across multiple systems and platforms

Supporting Experience:

  • Support the People analytics function, by creating a robust data model and Data Warehouse architecture to power HR Analytics strategy and Operations.
  • Collaborate with the People Analytics, IT and EA teams to identify and prioritize analytics projects, aligning them with HR objectives and company-wide goals.
  • Ensuring alignment with HR’s strategic initiatives by supporting their roadmap and creating a scalable data that is secure for advanced people analytics.
  • Facilitate the integration of HR data with other business data to provide a holistic view of organizational performance.
  • Support the orchestration of AI and ML program to improve employee engagement, and drive HR operational efficiencies through predictive analytics and intelligent automation.
  • Minimum bachelor’s or master’s degree in: Information Management, Business Analytics, Data Science or a related field.
  • 8 years’ hands on experience with MDM tools and technology
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR analytics, data products at enterprise scale, and data management with at least 3 years leading role.
  • Expertise in data management and with governing master data and familiarity with data quality practices
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and related techniques (SQL / Python)
  • Experience in data modeling, include building logical data models for database and application architectures
  • Demonstrable understanding of HR processes, systems, and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience in analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), databases, and HRIS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with HR professionals and other business leaders.
  • Leadership and team management skills in matrix reporting structures
  • Solid project management skills to guide project teams and stakeholders for successful projects delivery
  • This job requires being onsite for leader-defined events and activities which could be monthly/annually. Onsite frequency may increase based on business need.
  • Candidates must be based within a commutable distance from one of our US office locations (Sunnyvale, CA, Peachtree Corners, GA, and/or Raleigh, NC)

Given the volume and complexity of information assets at Intuitive, this role requires automated assistance to perform its function. The organization has several tools that facilitate the work activities of the lead steward, including:

  • Data modeling software
  • Tableau
  • MDM systems
  • Data catalogs

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
