MCAT Tutor, Bio/CARS Section (Remote)

TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs, is seeking an experienced MCAT tutor specializing in Biology/Biochemistry. This is a remote tutoring position, providing flexibility and convenience for both the tutor and the students.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the MCAT exam and its content in these areas. They will be responsible for providing high-quality one-on-one remote tutoring sessions to help students prepare for the MCAT exam.

Chapter: Washington

Position: MCAT Tutor (Bio)

Tutoring Session Length: 60-90 minutes

Classification: Contract (1099)

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Provide online tutoring sessions to students preparing for the MCAT exam in the Biological Sciences section
  • Create customized lesson plans based on students' needs and goals
  • Review and analyze practice tests and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide guidance and support to help students develop effective study strategies
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and session notes

Requirements

  • An earned Bachelor's degree
  • Strong MCAT scores knowledge of the MCAT exam and its content in the Biological Sciences section
  • Demonstrable experience in MCAT tutoring or teaching, preferably in this section
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work remotely and provide online tutoring sessions
  • Flexibility and availability to accommodate students' schedules
