Materials Science Force Field Intern, Summer 2024

We’re seeking a Materials Science Force Field Intern to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.

As a member of our Force Fields team, you’ll develop accurate atomistic physics-based models that are applicable in key areas of material science. The internship will last at least three months.

What you’ll do:

  • Work on core force field optimization libraries in Python
  • Extend the domain of applicability of our force field in key areas of materials science
  • Upgrade and optimize existing workflows for scalability and reliability

What you should have:

  • At least two years of graduate-level education and related research experience
  • Hands-on experience with molecular dynamics and/or DFT simulations 
  • Bash and Python programming proficiency

Estimated base salary: $7,500/mo. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
