POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a committed and motivated Material Lead from within our Supply Chain Team to take on this important role based at our Larbert site, supporting production. You will ensure materials are delivered on time and align with production goals while acting as a key link between Operations and the Supply Chain Team. This role involves identifying and addressing supply chain risks, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring operational targets are achieved. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead risk identification and escalation by performing clean-to-build checks at a contract level.
  • Collaborate with the team to classify issues using A, B, C indicators and define optimal escalation routes.
  • Act as a liaison between operations and supply chain teams, ensuring day-to-day priorities and material arrival dates are communicated and tracked.
  • Integrate into operational tier meetings - 2,3 & 4
  • Utilize MRP master data to optimize inventory levels, including safety stock and lead time recommendations.
  • Support resolution of supply escalations where necessary.
  • Improve material presentation to production lines to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide supply chain sign-off on commercial specification amendments.
  • Represent supply chain in NPD project meetings and pre-review modifications introduced within supply lead times.
  • Chair Daily Supply Chain Tier 3 Meetings.
  • Maintain and update all required reports and metrics in real time.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • You should be aware of and understand the Company health and safety procedures and ISO90001 standard.
  • Ideally, 5 years + experience in a fast-moving materials environment is preferred but not essential.
  • First class communication skills and ability to influence and build rapport across multi disciplined teams at all levels.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Aptitude and appetite for problem solving and continuous improvement - ability to seek pro-active solutions to supply chain issues.
