Join Zoox's Materials Engineering team and contribute directly to the development of our autonomous vehicle. In this hands-on role, you'll work in our laboratory environment, helping develop solutions for various vehicle systems including body safety structures, exterior components, and electro-mechanisms.
In this Role, You Will...
- Conduct laboratory testing and materials analysis
- Support fabrication of test components
- Assist in engineering design and validation
- Collect and analyze data that directly impacts vehicle design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Basic understanding of materials science principles
- Laboratory experience and knowledge of safety procedures
- Experience with mechanical testing equipment (UTM)
- Experience with optical and digital microscope
- Experience with Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
- Experience with Fourier Transform Infrared Microscope (FTIR)
- Familiarity with mechanical design concepts
- Basic fabrication skills

Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
