Join the power movement as a Material Coordinator
You will be the first line of support for the production, construction and assembly teams. You will find
resolutions to urgent needs by bringing together the right resources to resolve issues quickly. You will work closely with planning, scheduling, logistics and inventory to coordinate the flow of parts through the operation, preventing material stoppages. You will belong to a collaborative culture and exhibit transparent communication and teamwork.
What you'll do:
- Interface between Planning, Materials Management, Procurement, Quality, Production/Construction/Assembly and Design to support time sensitive, priorities for ongoing builds
- Modify work orders based on needs and initiate kitting of materials with the warehouse team
- Coordinate logistics of material through the factory
- Monitor material readiness and work with procurement, planning, and materials management to mitigate downtime due to material shortages
- Utilize shop floor applications to manage resource workloads
- Maintain work order status reports and balance resources to facilitate high utilization of work centers
- Perform other duties as required
What we’re looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ Yrs in a Manufacturing Shop Floor
- 1+ Yrs in a Production Planning environment
- Experience utilizing shop floor applications and/or manufacturing execution systems
- General understanding of shop floor applications
- Basic understanding of ERP and MRP systems
- Basic computer skills with MS office or G-Suite applications
- General understanding of quality system functionality
- Have great communication skills and the ability to interact and work effectively with manufacturing and supply chain personnel
Bonus points:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Start-up or high growth environment
- Experience with resource allocation
- Technician experience is a plus
Essential Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Perform activities such as stooping, typing, standing, sitting or working on ladders and scissor lifts for extended periods of time
- Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
- Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
